Angelique and Sean’s wedding day last weekend was such a special day! We got lucky a few times that day between dodging the rain drops and the completion of the I-95 bridge the day before we had to drive over it! I love the color palette Angelique chose. I really loved the breathtaking décor. The pop of hot pink was so fun and perfect and The Merion is a beautiful venue. Sean, the groom, was very involved in the wedding day details, even making much of the signage by hand! It was a dream day and such a fairy-tale event.
The day began in Pennsylvania at Angelique’s childhood home before heading to a local church for the ceremony. We shot family photos outside the church before heading back to New Jersey to the Merion. While The Merion is such a beautiful venue, but they do hold multiple weddings at the same time. It was really tricky to get all the photos we needed because we weren’t allowed in certain areas until the other weddings moved out. That being said- once we were allowed to roam the grounds, they were beautiful and we got some great photos.

Angelique and Sean did not do an engagement session because when they got engaged – IN PARIS!! Sean hired a photographer to capture the moment. So, on their wedding day, they incorporated their love of European style with a Paris themed dessert station and a live painter! The venue itself also boasted classic European architecture throughout.
We were allowed to shoot in one of their many indoor locations, and I will say, the indoor spaces – especially the arches were really beautiful. Another highlight was the classic spiral staircase. We took a few photos inside before we got the go ahead to shoot outside. The area where they hold their outdoor ceremonies was so pretty with these elegant marble columns and beautiful lighting. It was my favorite place to shoot and we got some really beautiful portraits.
The wedding reception was held indoors in one of their unique ballrooms. This particular one is one of the main ballrooms that has 23-foot ceilings which is so crazy! Off to the side was a separate cocktail room which was incredibly large- perfect for a large wedding! You can tell they do really lavish weddings here!
The dance floor was always full thanks to Rhythmix Entertainment which is always fun.
