Micro Weddings were predicted to trend even before this corona virus crisis. Now that nearly every one of my 2020 weddings have been rescheduled to year, I have a feeling we are going to be seeing more and more Micro Weddings and Elopements.
I don’t know about you, but I have never been great at taking a selfie. Maybe my arms aren’t long enough. Or maybe I’m too picky about the crop and composition of my photos. Or maybe I just don’t like how I look in the self pose. Either way, I’ve been trying to create more content here at home and the selfies and mirror pics just weren’t cutting it.
I love photographing engagement sessions! Its a great time to get to know each other and practice before the wedding day. Many of my grooms are amazing and hired a photographer to capture their proposal. But there are many benefits to having an engagement session with your wedding photographer. Apart from the obvious benefit of having beautiful photos, its also nice to get to know each other and meet before the wedding! Its great practice for the two of you to get used to being in front of the camera, and helps you to get familiar with my posing style.
As you know, I photograph some of the most elegant and chic bridal showers of all time. My brides are uber fashionable.
When I collect their vendor information to properly credit everyone in my blog posts and online, I started asking what they were wearing and where they got it. I started to see some trends!
Lucy’s bridal shower at Revel Garden City was so pretty! I thought I got there early but when I went inside and there were dozens of her closest friends and family getting ready for her arrival!
Taylor’s garden party bridal shower was held last weekend at one of my all time favorite venues, The Madison Hotel. The Madison Hotel conservatory is the perfect place for an indoor garden party bridal shower. It boasts the perfect lighting, thriving plants and upscale garden party vibes all year round. With enough space to host a small wedding, it is still small enough to feel intimate for a ladies brunch. I love witnessing the reactions of event guests who arrive in the conservatory for the first time. All the ooh-ing and ahh-ing makes me think the Madison Hotel is one of New Jersey’s best kept secrets, despite its renown reputation.
Hello and congratulations on your engagement! You must be soooo excited! I am excited for you! I know you have a ton of big decisions to make. From choosing your date and venue to hiring all your vendors. My goal is to make the process as easy and fun for you as possible.
These days, everyone has a top of the line camera at their fingertips. And the great news is, you don’t need fancy or expensive equipment to take great photos. With a little practice and a few tweaks, I can help you take professional looking photos right on your phone.Once you learn to take better photos, then you can upgrade your gear as you need to/want to.
This is a post I have wanted to create for you for the longest time, but I have shot so many New York Weddings that I honestly didn’t know where to start. Its funny because I obviously consider myself a New Jersey Wedding Photographer, I mean I do live in NJ. But the truth is, I spend a LOT of time in the beautiful state of New York and I am definitely a New York Wedding Photographer too!
