Fall Engagement Photos at New Jersey’s Skyland Manor
Fall engagement photos are every bride’s dream!
If you follow me, or this blog, you know I shoot at this location often. I almost always schedule engagement sessions at Skyland Manor on a weeknight because they do weddings there on the weekends. Haemar and Matt were coming to New Jersey from Long Island, When I reached out to the parks office to secure our engagement session date, I asked about dates when there wasn’t a wedding. Since Sunday was open and we were all available we took it. I pictured it being calm and quiet like it is on the weeknights I’ve been there, but boy was I wrong! I should have known a place this beautiful would be packed with families and people exploring on the weekends!
A Blessing in Disguise
Most of the parking lots were full, which turned out to be a major blessing because we began our session in a spot I have never shot in before…the parking lot! Seriously! Haemar and Matt probably thought I was crazy and maybe even starting rethinking their decision of hiring me as their wedding photographer when I literally started shooting in the crowded parking lot, but look at that fall light! That golden autumn glow is what photographers dream about!
Also, a huge thanks to Joanna at Hazel Dust Studio for designing this deep plum and brown engagement session bouquet, which is just perfect for fall engagement photos.
