Wedding Send Off & Exit Ideas
Forget a grand entrance, (you know you are going to make one without even trying!) but, are you planning to make a wedding exit? If not, you might want to reconsider! Wedding send offs and exit ideas are a fun way to leave your wedding or event transition from one part of the day to another. Check out these fun and creative wedding send off ideas that are sure to be a hit with your guests and fun for you!
1. Rose Petal Exit
Asking your guests to throw rose petals as you come back down the aisle after your ceremony is not only a creative exit toss idea, but its steeped in tradition. Years ago, guests would throw rice as a way to wish fertility on the couple. This sentiment has evolved over the years into rose petals and more! I’ve even seen olive leaves thrown as a symbol of peace!
2. Bubble Exit
If you are getting married in a church, they likely won’t let you throw anything that is likely to make a big mess (especially if there is a Mass the next morning!) How about a bubble exit from the church? If you are not sure how to do it, ask your photographer to set it up! I honestly do this all the time. If you have a planner- they can help too. I’ve even photographed a night bubble shot before with just the couple
3. {Impromptu} Church Exit
Even if you did not plan to make a ceremony exit, you might just make one anyway! That’s what happened when Chrissy & John exited the church after the receiving line. It was fun to say one last goodbye to guests before heading to North Hills Country Club to get the party started!
4. Sparkler Exit
Maybe you don’t want to leave the party early. I don’t blame you! You can still have a sparkler exit with just the bridal party. This is my favorite way to set up a sparkler exit because it can be tough to wrangle 200 wedding guests so late in the evening. By this point, the alcohol is usually flowing and things could potentially get dangerous! Don’t worry- I’ll pull you and your bridal party out during dinner and stage an “exit” and then you can go back to the party!
So there you have it! 4 Fun Wedding Send Off and Exit Ideas. I hope you loved them! Let me know if you plan to try any. I’ve also seen fireworks, olive leaf tosses, confetti and more! But that’s a post for another day : )
