Girly Outer Space Birthday Party
Hello, hello, hello! Girl moms- today’s post is for you! Is your daughter not a super girly girl? Or maybe she is, but you’ve already done the princess and mermaid themes. Or maybe you have twins- a boy and a girl and you need a theme that is friendly for both. Well, friends, I have the solution for you- an outer space birthday party theme!
Outer space birthday parties are becoming super popular these days. In fact, this is not the only one I photographed in 2020. Click here to see this monochrome take on this super popular theme. Also known as a boy friendly version. But, what I love most about this party is that its for a girl!
When designer, blogger and industry friend, Malake Nappi reached out to me about photographing her daughter, Mila’s 3rd birthday party, I knew I couldn’t miss it! The theme and concept was- Mila Girl Out of this World for her space loving future astronaut.
I didn’t really know what to expect out of a space themed birthday party. After all, I’m used to shooting weddings where all the details are flowers, stationery, shoes, etc. But this party definitely blew my mind! It was so pretty and well thought out.

The Birthday Party Details
As I’m sure you will be able to tell from these photos, Mila’s mom, Malake is a talented event and interior designer! She thought of every last detail and the result was a big wow factor!
I love the big number 3 balloon and how it stands out with the colors. So cute!
Malake transformed her living room into a dreamland for these future astronauts!
I love that she didn’t forget about the mamas! Both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for the mamas who were expecting. And let me tell you there were a ton of them at this party!
The Cutest ghost chairs were rented via petite seats.
How cute is this Pink Astronaut Jacket ? Do they make one in my size? This cardboard rocket ship Photo Booth was also a huge hit!
I love these cute place settings. Perfect to keep the little ones happy and busy while food is being served!

The Big Party Reveal
Sweet little Mila was so happy when she saw her party set up. She spent the night with her Grandma so her mom could set up her party. This moment is just after the big reveal. How sweet is that little face?! All that hard work paid off, mama!
Testing out the photo op! Malake thought of ever last detail including little decals and stickers on the chairs. I had to make sure to capture every last detail because so much thought went into this party!
I love how seamlessly Malake integrated the party decor into her her decor. During the party, the kids sat at the table and the mama’s could comfortably sit behind on these chic benches.

The painting on the right always hangs in Malake’s home. I love how it matches the party decor perfectly!
A party is the perfect opportunity to dress up!
