Winter Wedding at The Park Savoy Estate

This was my favorite spot on the property for bride and groom portraits. The lighting was perfect and the elegant gardens glowed even in January.

This Park Savoy winter wedding is a must see! The happy couple, Ali & Tyler were married on a beautiful Friday in January at the Stunning Park Savoy Estate. Park Savoy is located on Ridgedale Ave in Florham Park, right in the heart of Central New Jersey. It was the perfect setting for their gorgeous wedding day. This was my first time shooting here and let me tell you- I cannot wait to go back! Luckily I will be back soon for a wedding in August for my second shooter, Jenna! I am hoping for an outdoor ceremony for that one, since there was no chance we were doing that on January 14th. The day of the wedding was cold, but beautiful and we were actually able to get quite a few shots outdoors in front of the sweeping views of the gardens, that even in January were an ideal backdrop for wedding portraits.

This venue is so gorgeous! Definitely a new favorite venue for sure. The elegant estate reminds me a lot of their sister venue, the newer, Park Chateau that so many New Jersey wedding photographers love. But honestly, I really appreciated the older charm of the Park Savoy Estate. The grand ballroom is just so stunning with its high ceilings and white walls. Ali perfectly planned every single detail and I’m so glad I got to be a part of the day.

Park Savoy Winter Wedding

Let’s go back to the beginning of the day. I never knew a winter wedding could be so beautiful! I mean, I’ve seen and photographed some beautiful snowy weddings of course. But I love the warmth of these photos and with the right location choices, we were able to avoid shooting dead trees. Ali and Tyler did their first look on the beautiful staircase before we braved the cold winter weather outdoors.

Ali described her vision to me as elegant, timeless luxury and romantic. Her florals were white with a touch of greenery and stunning gold accents with eucalyptus garlands draped throughout the reception tables. She incorporated candles which created a warm and romantic vibe, perfect for a lovely evening in January. Her bridesmaids wore these incredibly stunning emerald colored velvet dresses. They were so flattering and perfect for a winter wedding. Ali even gifted them each a fur shawl which definitely came in handy to keep them warm during the bridal party photos which you can see below!

The Wedding Morning

The lovely bridal suite at the elegant Park Savoy Estate. Her hair was so pretty. I love the old Hollywood glam vibes those waves are giving off! And how stunning is that lacey robe?! Almost as fancy as a wedding dress. It definitely deserved its own photo shoot.

How stunning is this private bridal suite?! It is the most beautiful getting ready space. I love how much room we had to get all the shots. Especially with a bridal party this large. Since I photographed this wedding, they renovated the suite further, removing the bar area and adding in chairs for the glam teams to get to work.

I had to sneak a few black and white photos into this blog post. They are just so classic and timeless. There’s that bridal robe again on the left. I told you it deserved its own photo shoot!

We even snuck in a few pics with Ali & Tyler’s beloved dog, a bernedoodle named, Moose! Look at his cute little bowtie! I love photographing dogs in weddings, but it is essential that you have someone bring your pup at a scheduled time and then whisk him away when the photos are over. Moose was so handsome and well behaved and I’m so glad we could get these photos for their little family. The new chapel was so beautiful- inside and out!

I love this shot from Alison and Tyler’s first dance. After dances and speeches the dance floor was packed the entire night!

Live Wedding Painter

Alison’s sister, Amanda surprised her with a live wedding painter! She hired Janet, of J Howard Studios to paint this beautiful photo from their wedding ceremony. She began the painting during the ceremony and it was almost finished by the end of the night! It was such a hit! Guests would stop by and watch her paint and swoon over the gorgeous (and super accurate painting!) Brides- please hire her right now! She is incredible! Link below!

Congratulations again to Alison and Tyler, I hope you truly had the wedding of your dreams. It was an amazing wedding to photograph and I hope you enjoyed your big day. This was my first time shooting at Park Savoy and its no wonder why so many NJ wedding photographers love it so much. Without giving it a second thought, I would definitely shoot here again. It was such a special day!
