This vintage tea party bridal shower is not only one of my favorite bridal showers of all time, but it also happens to take place at one of my favorite venues!
Natalie is a super talented event planner who hired me to photograph her sister, Rita’s surprise bridal shower at the Madison Hotel. I think its pretty clear from these photos that Natalie is a professional, but it makes it even more special that this party was in honor of her only sister, who is the youngest of four.

The vision for this event was colorful floral tea pots with vintage garden roses and flowers, mismatched tea cups at each place setting and overflowing with florals in the center. The color scheme was described as vintage rose garden. I have to say, I know all the bridal showers I photograph are gorgeous, but this one really speaks to my personal style. I love the combination of pinks, green and gold and how the details complement each other without matching.
Tea Party Decorations
Floral Vintage Tea Cups Set of 4 / Mismatched Tea Cups & Saucers
Every bit of this bridal shower was professional designed. No detail was left unnoticed! Each table had a unique centerpiece of florals beautifully arranged in a unique vintage tea pot. And each tea pot was stacked on top of gold spray painted books. Instead of table numbers, each table was named a different type of tea. Under each centerpiece, the table was lined with living moss, which added a gorgeous texture. Also sprinkled throughout the decor were beautiful bird cages. Each table setting included a tea cup and saucer and none of them matched, which I love!

Shower guests were encouraged to dress in floral attire with touches of soft pastels and a fastener/hat/or headband, inspired by the royal ascot and Kentucky derby.
I love that this bridal shower was all about the prints and patterns and florals! I mean, who says you have to wear white to your shower? You’ll likely be wearing white on the big day! So feel free to have a little fun with color on your shower day. Bold and bright or soft and pastel you literally cannot go wrong. And definitely consider adding a cute hat or headband to complete the look! You can easily get one from Amazon or even Walmart!

The groom’s arrival is a big moment that most of my brides want captured towards the end of the shower. Hint- Grooms: make sure you bring flowers!
Rich and Rita played a fun variation on the bridal shower shoe game! See more about the bridal shower games they played below.

I love the date night jar idea! They also played what’s in your purse, which is always fun for the guests! Hostesses- don’t forget prizes for the winners!
