Danielle is a fellow wedding industry pro and New Providence native. She works at Bridgwater Manor, where she also decided to have her wedding this summer. See it here.
Danielle and I go way back. She actually covered my maternity leave back when I was a teacher. Fast forward years later, I left had left teaching to go full time in wedding photography. When Danielle got engaged she emailed me and the rest is history!
Brittany & Tyler ‘s Oheka Castle wedding day was incredibly beautiful. This elegant wedding venue, located on Long Island’s famed gold coast is one of those wedding venues that photographers dream of working at.
Marta and David got married this Sunday, July 3rd in the stunning Princeton University Chapel in Princeton, New Jersey. While this wasn’t exactly their reception venue, it is such a beautiful location I feel like it warrants its own post. It was a special day with an intimate ceremony, proceeding the couple’s large wedding which is happening this coming weekend at a stunning wedding venue in the South of France. And this smaller, more intimate wedding was also a destination for the couple who currently live in Boston, Massachusetts. I can only imagine what the planning process must have been like to coordinate not one, but two destination weddings! One being outside of the United States!
Keri and Mike chose the beautiful location, Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville NJ for their engagement photos. Yes, her name is Keri and she spells it exactly the same way that I do. To make this story even crazier, we are both from the same small town, New Providence!
Central Park, in the heart of New York City, is an iconic location for photos of all kinds! I’ve photographed weddings, engagement sessions and even family photos here. It is almost unbelievable that there is an 800 acre park in the concrete jungle of NYC but it is true! Central Park is really large and there is definitely strategy involved in getting the photos you have always dreamed of. From knowing the best time to shoot, to figuring out the best places to shoot and how to get to them you will definitely need a plan before you go. This blog post will help whether you are a photographer looking to schedule a shoot there for the first time, a mom looking to get some great photos of your family on your first trip to the big apple or even if you are a tourist or local looking for the best instagram spots in the park, I’ve got you covered there too!
Jen & Patrick chose my favorite NJ wedding venue for their wedding day, The Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey. The wedding ceremony was held in the stunning conservatory while their wedding reception was held in the grand ballroom. It was a nice change because I have never shot in the ballroom before. It was a really beautiful wedding and such an elegant affair! Patrick is actually a football coach in the NFL. Since he works for the Atlanta Falcons, they live in Georgia and had to plan their wedding from afar. So, they enlisted the help of their wedding planner, Joy from The Wedding Plan and Company to help them with the planning process and to execute their big day.
Today, I am sharing with you some of my favorite locations in the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area for your garden engagement photos. There are so many great places to shoot in the New York metro area, but being that New Jersey’s nickname is the garden state, it makes sense that there are tons of wonderful garden locations here.
Sonya and Brian had the most perfect wedding day at the most beautiful garden wedding venue located in Villanova, Pennsylvania, The Appleford Estate. Their wedding was impeccably planned by my favorite planners, Jen and Caitlin of The Joy Standard.
