Brittany and Tyler chose the iconic Oheka Castle, not only for their wedding day, but for their rehearsal dinner as well. Last year, I was also fortunate enough to get to photograph their engagement party as well as Brittany’s Parisian themed bridal shower at Indian Trail Club. Even though Brittany and Tyler are from New Jersey, they knew immediately that Oheka Castle, in the Huntington area of Long Island, was the best place for their special day- or should I say wedding weekend! It truly is a wedding venue like no other.
The formal gardens are incredibly beautiful and are the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings and events. The venue itself is incredibly famous, not only on the east coast, but world wide with many celebrities, such as Kevin Jonas from the Jonas brothers, choosing it for their own wedding venue as well as hundreds or tv shoes, movies and music videos being filmed there, such as Gossip Girl, Project Runway, tons of wedding shows, and my personal favorite, Taylor Swift, filmed her Blank Space video there. Not only was Brittany & Tyler’s wedding reception, so unbelievably beautiful, but I promise you, their rehearsal dinner was more gorgeous than my own wedding day.
The venue is conveniently located just an hour outside of New York City, and yes, your guests are able to stay onsite in one of their many guest rooms. There are so many beautiful places to shoot including, the grand ballroom, the terrace room, the bridal suite, the basement pool, and of course the formal gardens, in addition to the many other outdoor spaces located on the grounds. It truly is the perfect setting for your fairy tale wedding, with plenty of room for large groups. It is even a popular choice for a destination wedding with people traveling far and wide just to experience it.
It was so much fun to photograph this beautiful event space for the happy couple. Just wait until you see these beautiful pictures of Brittany & Tyler and their closest friends and family. Both the wedding planning process and rehearsal dinner was designed by their wedding planner, Karyn Michael Events and her flawless execution of these events did not go unnoticed!

The most perfect venue!
I am so glad I got to shoot here in one of the warmer months, so that we could get these beautiful outdoor photos. Who needs a formal dining room, when you have this incredible outdoor space?! The terrace was the perfect choice for their intimate rehearsal dinner made up of their wedding party and family before the majority of their wedding guests came the next day.
