Katherine & Brad | Gramercy Park, New York City
I had so much fun exploring Gramercy Park with Katherine & Brad on a beautiful day in NYC! We joked that they got 4 seasons of photos in one session with some blocks decorated for Halloween, some for Christmas, some with plants and green trees and a gorgeous sunny day!
I have to be honest, I used to avoid recommending an NYC engagement session to couples because the thought of driving in, parking and shooting in the city overwhelmed me early on in my career. But now, it is one of my favorite spots to shoot and truly the perfect place for your engagement photos.
We met in the front of Gramercy Park, which, I had no idea is the most exclusive park in all of New York City. Just a few local residents have access to it! We started shooting on the steps of some of the most beautiful brownstones in NYC. We kept trying to move to another block, but never got far because each stoop was better than the one before it!
Finally, we made our way to a different street corner. Of course we had to shoot in front of the famous ivy building. And we had to get some NYC cabs in the background. After a bit, we stopped for some coffee at the cutest new coffee shop to the neighborhood.
Lastly, we ended the session having some fun with motion blur and the super trendy shutter drag.

I had the best time with Katherine and Brad and I am so excited for their September wedding next year at Liberty View Farm in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
